je weniger geld ich habe, desto mehr ideen kommen mir, desto mehr kleine projekte realisiere ich, weil ich ja nicht konsumieren kann. ja schön, hoch lebe DIY. aber grosse ideen habe ich auch, und für die brauche ich etwas mehr budget als 3,80 für ne sprühdose ^^ jedenfalls, ich bin nicht untätig. wir werden sehn. wir werden sehn. (die stühle standen in der wohnung rum als ich eingezogen bin und sind total abgerockt. ich belasse sie in diesem zustand, als erinnerung an qualvolle stunden der renovierungsarbeit.)

the less money i have, the more ideas i get, the more small projects get realized, because i cannot consume. yeah nice, long live DIY. but i also have great (huge!) ideas, and for that i need a little more budget than 3.80 euros for a spray can ^^ in any case, i am not idle. we’ll see. we’ll see. (the chairs were standing around in the apartment when i moved in and are totally sordid. i leave them in this state, as a painful reminder of the hours of renovation work.)

Und wieder etwas Selbstgemachtes:
COLORBLIND ist das frisch gegründete Label vom libanesisch-deutschen Grafikdesigner Daniel Arab. Entworfen sind die rein schwarz-weissen Muster in Berlin – gedruckt per Hand in einer kleinen Siebdruckwerkstatt im Nordlibanon. Die ‘Cloth Poster’ kann man auf der Colorblind-Website bestellen, oder bei Stoffe Meyer in Berlin analog einkaufen. :)
Ich habe ein Kissen daraus genäht – mit Neon-Orangener Paspel. Ein bisschen bunt muss sein :) Reissverschluss dazu, tippitoppi – meine Wohnung wird immer schöner!! ^^

COLORBLIND is a fresh label, founded by lebanese-german graphic designer Daniel Arab. Designed to be pure black&white–patterns in Berlin – printed by hand in a small screen printing workshop in northern Lebanon. The ‘Cloth Posters’ can be ordered on the Colorblind-Website, or shopped at Stoffe Meyer in Berlin.
I sewed a pillow out of it – with neon-orange piping. A bit of color is a must :) zip – my apartment is getting nicer and nicer! ^^

diese tasche blinkt, glitzert, reflektiert und leuchtet im dunkeln (sieht man leider auf dem foto nicht so wirklich…) nicht viele dinge bringen mich in solches verzücken. aber hier ist es ganz klar, oder?!^^ von einem meiner liebsten berliner labels: starstyling. aber nö, die tasche ist nicht meine ;( MABROUK, didi ^^

DIY: hooked contacts

schon seit mir anfang des jahres mein handy abhanden gekommen ist, habe ich mir vorgenommen wieder ein analoges adress- und telefonbuch zu führen. für alle fälle. blieb lange nur beim vorhaben ;) aber da ich seit neuestem wieder über einen festnetzanschluss verfüge – mit einem telefon ohne speicherfunktion – flogen überall zettel mit diversen nummern durch die wohnung. ein system musste her. und da sich auch bei meinen kontakten nummern und adressen ständig ändern, kann ein normales adressbuch dann doch nicht mehr mithalten. aus diesem anlass, ein gebastel: alphabetkärtchen und karteikärtchen am ring können ruckzuck eingesetzt oder ausgetauscht werden. und auch visitenkarten finden mit loch versehen ihren platz. hoch lebe die einfachheit.

since the beginning of the year, when my cell phone went lost, i’ve decided to run an analog address and phone book again. for all cases. yet the plan remained… but since i recently gained a landline connection – with a phone without memory function – there were flying notes with various numbers all around my apartment. a system was needed. and as numbers and adresses of my contacts change constantly (too), a normal address book wouldn’t keep up anymore. for this occasion, a tinkering: thanks to a hook / ring, alphabet cards and index cards can be easily added or replaced. and also business cards will find their space. long live simplicity.
